Ever thought the Law of Attraction doesn’t work?

Have you ever struggled with the Law of Attraction? Maybe you have said to yourself, “I’ve been thinking positive but nothing is happening!” The Law of Attraction is indeed magical. But it’s not magic! You have to do the work.

It is true, positive thinking is essential. Your thoughts are energetic and will bring you experiences to match. Nothing positive can happen without positive thinking. That said, you can’t just think positive and just visualize success. Yes,positive thinking is at the core of the Law of Attraction. And….You will need to take some action.

 Action to activate the Law of Attraction

Maybe you have heard the story about the man who was praying to win the lottery. Every day, the man would pray, “God, please let me win the lottery”. Every day he said the same prayer over and over and over again for years. One day his prayer was particularly fever feverish and he begged “God, please let me win the lottery”. God’s response was, “My child, please buy a ticket.”

The universe is magical. The Law of Attraction simply states that like attracts like. Feelings create thoughts, thoughts create things that match those thoughts. Have you ever been thinking about someone you care about and a few minutes later they call or text? That’s the Law of Attraction at work. Or perhaps you really hoped to have a particular parking space open at the grocery store, and when you go there, your parking space was waiting for you. Those are examples of the Law of Attraction at work. One might argue that no action was required. But is that really true?

If you don’t answer the phone when your loved one calls, will you get to talk? If you don’t actually get in the car to drive to the supermarket, will you find your parking space waiting for you? The answer, of course, is no. Even those examples took a form of action.

How you can activate the Law of Attraction 

The Law of Attraction is breathtakingly simple. What you think about, you bring about. Your emotions are like the road signs. If you are experiencing positive emotions as you move toward your goal, you will be creating positive thoughts that will bring about experiences to support those those. By the same token, if you are experiencing negative emotions, you can be assured you are off course. You can also be assured that you will begin to experience the negative things you are thinking about.

Start simple. Ask yourself, “How do I want to feel?” (Supported, loved, successful, happy, content, etc.)

Then ask, “What can I do right now that would help me feel that way?”. Your inner guide will know the answer, and it will almost certainly be the first thing that pops into your mind. If you feel resistance, ask yourself why you are resisting. Most likely, your resistance is due to some kind of fear.

Rather than feeling the fear, make a decision and say to yourself, “I choose to see love instead of fear”. You will feel an immediate shift.

Now you will be ready to brainstorm some action steps to move your toward your goal. Every day, choose one action step. It can be the same action each day, but you will need to commit to an action step. If you want to train for a 5K, your action step might be that you run at least 1 mile every day this week to work up to 2 miles next week. If you want to be at a healthier body weight, your action step might be that you choose to replace refined sugar with real fruit. Perhaps you want to write a book. Your action step might be to write every single day.

The Law of Attraction will work when you do

Every day, take some small action toward your goal. Yes, every day. If it’s a big goal, you’ll probably need to spend at least one hour daily. But that’s ok! Think of the payoff!!
