Harness the Power of Feng Shui to Manifest Love, Abundance & Peace

Welcome to Your Yes-Filled Life! I’m your host, Brenda Winkle, and today, I’m thrilled to bring you a conversation that will shift the way you see your space, your energy, and your life. I had the honor of speaking with Feng Shui expert Jen Walters, and she shared profound insights on how our environments shape our well-being, abundance, and personal growth.

Creating Space for a Yes-Filled Life

We all know the feeling of walking into a space that just feels right. There’s a sense of ease, alignment, and even inspiration. But have you ever considered how your space might be working against you? Jen and I dove into the importance of energy flow and how simple adjustments can create more harmony in your home and life.

One of the biggest takeaways from our conversation was this: Our environment reflects our internal state. If you’re feeling stuck, cluttered, or overwhelmed, your space might be mirroring those feelings. Feng Shui isn’t about rigid rules or superstition—it’s about creating an intentional relationship with your surroundings so that they support your energy rather than drain it.

The Front Door: The Gateway to Opportunity

When I asked Jen if there were things we could all do, Jen's eyes lit up! Jen emphasizes the importance of the front door as the main entry point of energy into your home. Here are a few simple practices she recommends:

  • Sweep your front step daily for nine days – This “exfoliates” the energy, clearing out stagnation and making room for new opportunities.

  • Use orange essential oil to clean the door – Citrus uplifts energy and invites positive flow.

  • Place something you love near your entryway – Whether it’s fresh flowers, a piece of art, or a crystal, the first thing you see when you walk in should uplift you.

These simple shifts make a huge difference in setting the tone for your home and welcoming in abundance.

Balancing Yin and Yang: The Energy of Your Space

Have you ever felt like your space is either too chaotic or too stagnant? Jen explains that Feng Shui helps balance yin (restful, calming energy) and yang (active, vibrant energy) so that your home supports your lifestyle and goals.

  • If your space feels too hectic, consider adding soft lighting, cozy textures, and soothing colors.

  • If your space feels too sluggish, try incorporating movement—wind chimes, plants, or even small mirrors to keep energy circulating.

Addressing Clutter: Energy Blocks and Flow

We also talked about the impact of clutter. Clutter isn’t just “stuff”—it represents stagnant energy. If you’re struggling to let go of things, ask yourself:

  • Does this item energize me or drain me?

  • Is this aligned with who I am becoming?

  • If I were to move tomorrow, would I take this with me?

If something doesn’t spark joy or serve a functional purpose, it may be time to let it go. Clearing space creates room for new energy and possibilities.

Small Adjustments, Big Impact

One of the most fascinating things I learned from Jen was how tiny Feng Shui adjustments can create huge shifts. For example:

  • Red washi tape on staircases: If you find yourself constantly dropping things or feeling unsettled in your home, placing a strip of red tape on staircases can help slow down rushing energy.

  • Bowl of mandarin oranges: Rolling oranges into your home symbolizes inviting prosperity and sweetness into your life.

  • Intentional object placement: Where your eye lands in your home directs your energy. Make sure what you see uplifts you!

Feng Shui for Love, Abundance, and Purpose

Jen also shared specific Feng Shui practices for different areas of life:

  • Abundance: Set out a bowl with nine crystals or coins to represent receiving prosperity with ease.

  • Love: Pair objects in twos—a set of candles, artwork featuring a couple, or even symbolic Mandarin ducks—to welcome romantic partnership.

  • Purpose & Self-Growth: Place something meaningful on your nightstand to energetically support your dreams while you sleep.

Your Invitation to Align Your Energy

Feng Shui isn’t about rules—it’s about creating a space that feels good, supports your energy, and allows you to thrive. Jen has generously created a free printable Feng Shui affirmation card designed to align with Your Yes-Filled Life. You can download it from her website at here.

If you’re feeling inspired, start with just one small change—a bowl of oranges, a front door refresh, or clearing one cluttered space. The energy shift will surprise you!
