This past Monday in my blog, rather than a written blog I included a special video treat. In this video, I proved that our thoughts have energy that impacts our experiences positively or negatively. If you missed that post, you can check it out here.
Today’s Thursday tip piggy-backs on that topic. Today on the vlog, I talk about three easy tips to help you stay more positive. The truth is, sometimes things happen. Life “lifes” on us occasionally and we all find ourselves having to work to stay more positive. Three simple tips to staying positive are:
- Choose again: Say to yourself, “I can choose again. I can choose to see things more lovingly or more patiently”.
- Reach out to a trusted friend. Be careful about choosing this friend. Make sure it’s someone who will listen to you speak your truth. Once your struggle is out in the open this friend can help you find the positive in the situation, help you find positive resolutions, or help you see the situation differently. Often times by seeing the situation differently, the situation changes. That’s pretty awesome!
- Reach up and out. Find someone you trust and admire. It could be someone in your life like your yoga teachers, your trusted counselors/therapists, spiritual teachers, or even public figures. Find uplifting blogs and books to read. Fill your mind with positivity from strong leaders. A few favorite authors I personally recommend: Gabrielle Bernstein, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Nick Ortner, Gary Zukav, Kris Carr, Doreen Virtue, Pam Grout… and you can probably find 100 more worthwhile people to hitch your positive wagon to.
